The CPP Young Adults’ Club take on TGI’s!
Everyone arrived excited to eat some good food and socialise. Once we were all seated, it was time to order. TGI’s expansive menu offered plenty to choose from, including Sesame Chicken Strips, Fridays Glazed Burger, or Mac & Cheese. Whilst we waited for our food to arrive, everyone chatted happily. Among other things, we discussed future trips for the Young Adults’ group, as it is so important to us that the events we put on are designed with our members in mind. We took everyone’s suggestions for future events on board, so watch this space!
Then, we all eagerly tucked into our food, which everyone thought was delicious. The staff at TGI’s were extremely accommodating and keen to ensure that everyone had everything they needed. We left the restaurant feeling satisfied with the food, the service, and of course the company!
The CPP Young Adults’ Club acknowledges the social isolation that is particularly prevalent amongst young Disabled people, which stems from the gap between child and adult services. We host ad hoc events encouraging our members to socialise, build relationships with like-minded people, and have a good time!
Our group is open to all CPP members aged 16-35. If you would like to join the CPP Young Adults’ Club, please email coordinators Jasmine and Olivia at: [email protected]/[email protected].
Our next event is a trip to watch Sing in an outdoor cinema on Sunday 18th August.
