Celebrating Spring at our Children’s Party
3rd April 2024 | Supersense, Imperial Sports Ground
What better way to celebrate the arrival of Spring than with another Children’s Party at the wonderful Supersense within the Imperial Sportsground. On Wednesday 3rd April we had the pleasure of welcoming 16 children with Cerebral Palsy, and their families, for a day of laughter and fun while enjoying their accessible play and inclusive facilities. Supersense is one of the largest sensory rooms in the UK and was specifically developed to provide a safe sanctuary for children with special educational needs and disabilities.
Everyone had a wonderful time, with children enjoying the activities, exploring the soft play, and relaxing amongst the glow of the sensory lights. Every single child, regardless of their needs, got to immerse themselves in an afternoon full of fun and play.
One of the highlights of the party was a jam packed performance from children’s entertainer Lucy Lost-It, who captivated us all with her wonderful tricks, and had us all roaring with laughter from start to finish! After Lucy’s performance it was time for some much-needed refreshments and our guests enjoyed a scrumptious buffet lunch and treats.
As always, ensuring accessibility was paramount to us, which is why we made sure to provide the RevoLOOtion (formerly Mobiloo), a fully accessible toilet equipped with changing table and hoist. This helped to remove barriers, ensuring that every single child could participate in the party.
Beyond the laughter and excitement, the party offered a chance for families to connect and share experiences. Parenting a child with disabilities can be isolating at times, but events like these provide a vital opportunity for families to come together, forge friendships, share knowledge and support each other.
We are delighted to have provided this heartwarming celebration and look forward to hosting many more parties, where families can come together in a safe, inclusive environment that caters to their individual needs and children can play freely.
With huge thanks to the Pixel Fund for their gift which enabled us to deliver this wonderful event.
